Finding something to do in February can be tough. A night out that involves walking more than a few blocks in the cold is quickly thrown out of the running. So we’ve put together a list of must-see events in Baltimore this month that will require minimal outerwear. Whatever your taste, there’s an event for you minutes away from your place at 2Hopkins’ Downtown Baltimore apartments.

Sports

The Orioles’ spring training season begins in Florida on Friday, February 23, with a game against the Rays. Catch some pre-season games in your apartment or at a local watering hole to get ready for Opening Day on March 29^th! The Orioles first home game of the season is arguably the biggest party in Baltimore. Pickles, Pratt Street Ale House and more offer huge Opening Day celebrations for Orioles fans near and far. Zoos and Aquariums

The National Aquarium in Baltimore is one of the top three aquariums in the country. Given the visually open, multi-level exhibits and huge variety of wildlife, it’s not surprising that this destination is expensive. But during the slower (read: colder) months, it offers a discount to encourage visitation. From now until July 7, admission is half price on Fridays from 5-8 p.m. If you’ve never been, and you’re looking for a fun, indoor night, this might be perfect for you.

Nightlife

Among other things, Baltimore is known for its fantastic, unique breweries. The Chesapeake Shakespeare Company is playing Red Velvet by Lolita Chakrabarti from February 2-25. And the American Craft Show, Baltimore will be running from February 23-25.
